Ford is a country artist who is really more of a rapper - his bass player Paul Chapman and guitarists Spencer Bassett and Mark Easterling typically handle the traditional singing parts. Ford says he was influenced by Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings when he was growing up, but also by Run-D.M.C.
Many of his songs have a party theme; he calls himself "Mr. Goodtime" and has released videos under the "Mr. Goodtime TV" moniker.
Ford co-wrote the #1 country hits "Dirt Road Anthem" (Jason Aldean) and "Country Must Be Country Wide" (Brantley Gilbert).
