Groove Metal

Groove metal is a subgenre of heavy metal music that combines the aggression and intensity of thrash metal with the rhythm and groove of funk and hip-hop. It is characterized by a heavy, distorted guitar sound, downtuned to a low pitch, and a mid-tempo rhythm. Groove metal bands often feature aggressive, shouted vocals and lyrics that focus on themes of anger, despair, and social alienation. Commonly used instruments include electric guitars, bass guitars, drums, and keyboards.
