Baglama

Baglama is a traditional Turkish folk music genre that is played on a stringed instrument of the same name. It is a long-necked lute with three strings and a fretted fingerboard. The instrument is usually played with a pick and is used to accompany vocalists or instrumentalists. Baglama music is characterized by its improvisational nature and its use of microtonal intervals.
