German Cloud Rap

German Cloud Rap is a subgenre of hip-hop that originated in Germany in the early 2010s. It is characterized by its dreamy, atmospheric production, often featuring lo-fi beats and samples, as well as its introspective, melancholic lyrics. The genre is heavily influenced by trap and drill music, but with a more laid-back, melodic approach. German Cloud Rap often features collaborations between rappers and producers, and is often associated with the German rap collective 187 Strassenbande.
