Powerviolence

Powerviolence is a genre of hardcore punk and extreme metal music that combines elements of thrashcore, grindcore, and hardcore punk. It is characterized by its fast tempos, heavy riffs, and aggressive vocals. The genre is known for its chaotic and often dissonant sound, as well as its lyrical themes of social alienation, political oppression, and personal angst. Powerviolence is often associated with the DIY punk scene and is often seen as a more extreme version of hardcore punk.
