Early US Punk is a genre of music that emerged in the mid-1970s in the United States. It is characterized by its fast tempos, aggressive lyrics, and DIY attitude. Early US Punk bands often drew influence from the British punk scene, but also incorporated elements of garage rock, hard rock, and proto-punk.
