NWOTHM (New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal) is a subgenre of heavy metal music that emerged in the early 2000s. NWOTHM bands often draw influence from the classic heavy metal bands of the 1980s, such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Dio.
