Western Swing is a style of music that originated in the 1920s and 1930s in the American Southwest. It combines elements of jazz, blues, country, and swing music. It is characterized by a strong rhythm section, often featuring a steel guitar, fiddle, and/or piano, and is often played in a danceable tempo. It is often referred to as "Texas Swing" or "Hillbilly Jazz".
