Minimal Wave

Minimal Wave is a genre of electronic music that emerged in the late 1970s and early 1980s. It is characterized by its sparse, minimalistic sound, often featuring simple drum machine beats, synthesizers, and vocals. The genre is heavily influenced by the early synth-pop and new wave music of the time, but with a darker, more experimental edge. Minimal Wave often incorporates elements of industrial, post-punk, and coldwave music, as well as early hip-hop and electro. It is often seen as a precursor to the modern synthwave and vaporwave genres.
