Finnish Techno is a style of electronic music that originated in Finland in the late 1990s. It is characterized by its dark, minimalistic sound, often featuring heavy basslines and distorted synths. It is heavily influenced by Detroit techno, but also incorporates elements of industrial, trance, and ambient music. Finnish Techno is often associated with the Helsinki-based record label Sähkö Recordings, which has released many of the genre's most influential albums.
