Maracatu

Maracatu is a traditional music and dance genre from the Brazilian state of Pernambuco. It is characterized by its African-influenced rhythms and percussion instruments, such as the atabaque, pandeiro, and agogô. The music is usually accompanied by a large procession of dancers and musicians, and is often performed during Carnival celebrations.
