Metal Nortista is a subgenre of heavy metal music that originated in the Northeastern region of Brazil. It is characterized by its aggressive sound, fast tempos, and heavy use of distorted guitars. The lyrics often focus on themes of social injustice, poverty, and the struggles of the working class. The genre has been heavily influenced by traditional Northeastern Brazilian music, such as forró and baião, as well as by other metal genres such as thrash metal and death metal.
