Slovak Punk

Slovak Punk is a genre of punk rock music that originated in Slovakia in the late 1980s. It is characterized by its fast-paced, aggressive sound and often political lyrics. The genre is heavily influenced by British and American punk rock, as well as traditional Slovak folk music. Slovak Punk bands often incorporate traditional Slovak instruments such as the fujara, a type of flute, and the gajdy, a type of bagpipe, into their music. The genre has become increasingly popular in recent years, with bands such as The Plastic People of the Universe, The Prostitutes, and The Paranoid gaining international recognition.
