Thin Lizzy frontman Phil Lynott co-wrote this kiss-off song with Midge Ure, who would later tour with band as Gary Moore's replacement. Ure, who would soon form Ultravox, had a very unLizzylike sound, which was more in line with British new wave. In our interview with Ure, he explained that he and Lynott were hanging out in London when Phil came up with this song. At the time, Ure was struggling to make ends meet, and Lynott giving him a songwriter credit was a huge financial boost. "I didn't really add an awful lot to it - he was very generous," Ure said. "He looked after me like a big brother."
