This song is a remixed version of the Notorious B.I.G. song "Nasty Boy," which appeared on his 1997 album Life After Death, which was released shortly after he was killed in a shooting. The remix contains additional vocals from Diddy, Nelly, Jagged Edge and Avery Storm, and was transformed into a totally different song with only the original lyrical sample from Notorious B.I.G. remaining. Despite this he still retains the credit as the main artist, so 9 years after his death, Notorious B.I.G. had his first UK chart topper.
According to The Notorious B.I.G., he was working on "Nasty Boy" in a New York studio on the morning of September 7, 1996 when he was questioned about his possible involvement in the murder of rival rapper Tupac Shakur on that day.
In addition to the featured artists, the video contains guest appearances from Pharrell Williams, Usher, Fat Joe and Naomi Campbell among others. Campbell appears near the end when she responds to a man asking her, "Aren't you one of those Top Model girls?" by slapping him.
