Everything is romantic

"Everything Is Romantic" is the seventh track on Charli XCX's sixth album, Brat. The sweeping song invites listeners to imagine an idyllic Italian backdrop while reflecting on the idea that love and romance can be found in every corner of life, from the mundane to the extraordinary. Charli teased on TikTok: "Five words (sic) to describe 'Everything is Romantic': Italian, apparel, romantic, Pompeii, lace, curtains."

Charli co-produced the track herself, along with her longtime collaborator and sonic mastermind A.G. Cook and Pablo "El Guincho" Díaz-Reixa, the Spanish producer known for his work with Rosalía and Camila Cabello. This marked Charli's third official production credit, following her October 2023 collaboration with Sam Smith, "In The City," and another Brat track, "Apple."

According to El Guincho, Charli had the Brat campaign meticulously planned well before they met up in Miami to record about halfway through the album. "She'd been in Italy with her partner and wanted to reflect that," El Guincho told Billboard. He added that she had lyrics ready and a clear vision of the song having a "grand" opening." From there, he whipped up the powerful beat at A2F Studios, and "Everything Is Romantic" came to life.
