This song is about Psalm 137, verses 5-7 of The Bible. It explains the hardship and suffering the Jews experienced during the Holocaust. However, it also expresses the pride of the Jewish population.

Matisyahu incorporated some of the lyrics to the Matthew Wilder hit "Break My Stride" in this song: "Ain't no one gonna break my stride, ain't no one gonna pull me down. Oh no, I got to keep on moving." Wilder received a songwriting credit as a result.
