He added: "It's just a fun idea of taking like a work term and making a love story out of it. And I loved the beat - 'It's been a wreck me week.' It's just a really strong – when you start singing you can just feel it."
The song recalls Pardi's 2016 single "Dirt on My Boots" in subject matter. However, this one gets a lot more hot and steamy as the Californian native goes into detail about his "night shift" between the sheets with his lady.
Directed by Jim Wright, the song's music video finds Pardi and his band playing on the back of a flatbed truck as it cruises along Lower Broadway in downtown Nashville. "I came up with the idea that I'd like to shoot it downtown at night," the California native told ABC Radio. "And then out of nowhere, it was like, 'We're getting a semi truck and we're gonna put the band on the back of the semi truck and we're gonna cruise around downtown.'"
