Mika wrote this song with his frequent collaborator Jodi Marr, whose other credits include the singer's breakthrough single, "Grace Kelly. "It was written for real," explained Mika to The Sun. "I wrote it to someone as a direct message. It was written almost as a break-up letter. It's something that so many feel. So many people have that moment. We've all been there."
