New Boyz are Los Angeles hip-hop duo Ben J and Dominic Thomas (AKA Legacy). This song came with a dance called "Jerkin,'" which is a LA based craze, perpetuated by street culture and high school students alike. Though this wasn't the first jerk song, it was the first to get airplay on LA.'s urban radio stations.
Ben J told HipHopDX.com: "I would describe jerk music as just something you feel. It's positive, it's got all the teenagers to all the grannies, all the mamas. Everybody's cutting it and moving it, and everything that you would say. It's fun. It's like a movement."
The song's music video featured dancing by jerkin' crews The Power Ranger$ and Action Figures. American rappers Tyga and Paul Wall made cameo appearances in the clip.
