Florida-born singer-songwriter Kaci Battaglia recorded her debut major label studio album, Paradise at the age of 13. It produced three UK Top 40 singles: "Paradise" "Tu Amor " and "Intervention Divine." However after her second album flopped, Kaci went back to school for several years before relaunching her career in 2009 with this single. It went on to top the US Hot Club Dance Songs, Kaci's first chart entry in her home country.
Kaci told The Daily Mirror May 21, 2010 that she penned the song after discovering a friend had been messing with her man. "I was seeing this guy but my best friend had known him much longer," she explained. "She said she was OK with us dating, but then I found he'd been texting her and taking her to school. I got all riled up and wrote the song fast." Kaci then played the song to the other girl. "She said, 'Whooah, it's really repetitive'," the singer revealed. "I said, 'Yes. Now do you get the point?'"
