"Crashed The Wedding" was written by Tom Fletcher of McFly. McFly guested on the song's B-side, a cover of "Build Me Up Buttercup." The song is about the narrator "crashing" (or interrupting) the wedding of an ex-girlfriend.
The Gordon Street mentioned in the song is a reference to the movie Wayne's World 2. According to James Bourne, "Wayne tries to stop a wedding, and asks Charlton Heston where Gordon Street is. When Wayne eventually crashes the wedding it's done in a parody of The Graduate, which we parodied in the video for our first single ('What I Go To School For')."
The Max Giwa and Dania Pasquini-directed music video unfolds with Busted taking center stage at a wedding celebration. They not only perform at the nuptials but step into multiple roles, embodying nearly all the guests. As the harmonies resonate through the air, chaos ensues and the once-idyllic wedding transforms into a riotous display of rebellion. From wreaking havoc on the towering cake to toppling tables, Busted become agents of wedding mayhem. Harry Judd from McFly plays the drummer in the clip.
