The first single from Rich Gang: Flashy Lifestyle, a compilation album featuring members of Cash Money, Young Money and their various collaborators was produced by 808 Mafia's Southside and TM88. It features verses by Cash Money founder Birdman, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj, whilst Future croons the hook and Mack Maine the bridge. The song was released to Rhythmic contemporary radio on May 7, 2013
"First it's based on hard work, a grind," Birdman explained of the Rich Gang rap collective when he appeared on RapFix Live. "I've been doing this half of my life, 22 years of my life - I'm 44 years old and I think it's just a symbol of hard work and it pays."
The video was directed by Hannah Lux Davis (Cher Lloyd's "Oath"). It was shot in both Los Angeles and Miami in March 2013 and includes cameos from Paris Hilton, Christina Milian, Kimora Lee, Bow Wow, DJ Stevie J, and DJ Khaled.
