Named for their lead guitarist Ad van den Berg (a.k.a. Adrian Vandenberg), this Dutch band recorded their debut album at Jimmy Page's studio. This song, the first single release from that album, was their only major hit, even it just barely cracked the US Top 40. The group toured the US with Ozzy Osbourne and KISS over the next 12 months, but their fortunes, and album sales, gradually declined over the next few years. In 1987 Ad van den Berg accepted an opportunity to join the band Whitesnake, sealing the band's fate.
In 2004 the band reunited and remade this song; the updated version appears on the two-disc retrospective The Definitive Vandenberg.
