Like many early Bayside songs, this one finds lead singer Anthony Raneri feeling heartbroken and betrayed. Released as a single with an accompanying video directed by the production company Major Lightner, it became one of the band's most popular songs.
In our 2014 interview with Anthony Raneri, he said that he still loves this song, and it continues to be one of the band's favorites to perform live. It is, however, a song he would never write once he hit 30. "I just think, 'My God, I was angry when I was 21 years old,'" he said. "I don't know that I could ever harness that sort of aggression again. I'm 31 now, and my life has changed so much for the better. I listen to it and I'm like, 'God...' I almost listen to it like it's somebody else. But somebody I wish I could be."
