Following the success of his Hellboy EP and his debut solo tour across the United States, Lil Peep decided he didn't want to return to Los Angeles or come home to Long Island, so he moved to London. There, he began to associate with a new set of people including Atlanta rapper iLoveMakonnen and producer Smokeasac. This song finds him explaining the reasons why he decided to make a new start in England. The song's music video was directed by Peep's mother Liza Womack in association with Steven Mertens. The clip incorporates the rapper's childhood drawings, which are animated to tell the story of him moving from Los Angeles to London shortly before his death. "The story of the video is just simply, Gus wanted to leave LA but he didn't want to move back to Long Beach, even though he loved his mother and his dog and his brother," Womack explained to Genius. "It's also in the castle that he had dreamed up and planned to be able to buy, build, and create for his friends and collaborators." Peep's drawings are based on a cartoon he watched while growing up. "The character with the red hair and the flaming hands, it was actually a very interesting discovery because there was a series of these," his mom said. "He's got red fingernails and the hair, and the necklace and everything."
