This song was written by singer/songwriter Teedra Moses. Teedra worked on the song with producer Paul Poli; the two recorded many songs for Teedra's debut album. "Dip it Low" was intended for Teedra's debut album, Complex Simplicity, but her version became the demo that was accepted by Christina Milian.
