Bury me a legend, I'ma dig the grave myself I can't remember when I last felt alive By the second verse, the Indonesian rapper feels like he is breaking through; he determines to be a global representative for his country.
During the chorus, Rich Brian talks about how everything he's achieved has been in spite of the color of his skin. Don't fight the feeling 'cause I'm yellow Brian explained the song's title during an interview with Complex: "It's about Asian identity and in a more general sense, I wrote the song to let other Asians know that they can do what they want. Everything is possible."
The outro is a sample of Bekon's 2017 track "Cold As Ice." The producer/songwriter contributed to eight out of the fourteen tracks on Kendrick Lamar's DAMN album.
