The Biffy Clyro frontman begs his broken pal to pick up the pieces of his cocaine-addled life and move forward; then he'll be the best friend he'd ever had. "He just chose the wrong path and got himself into a really tricky situation where his world closed in," Neil explained to NME. "He'd want help and you'd try to help, but then a week later you're back to square one."

There's a twist at the end when Neil, fed up with trying to help his pal, decides if you can't beat them, join them. You'll be pleased to learn that unlike the song, in real life Neil's friend is doing well. The singer reported around the time of the single release that his pal is "in a good place now and on his way out of the darkness."
