Easy

"Easy" is a synth-heavy plea to set a relationship back on course. As Troye Sivan examines the crumbling romance, he begs his lover for a reconciliation.

Troye Sivan explained in a press release that the In A Dream tracks explore "an emotional roller coaster" period in his life. The implication of this is the lyrics of "Easy" are at least partly autobiographical. They may be a reference to the singer's relationship with the model Jacob Bixenman, who was his boyfriend from 2016-2019.

Swedish producer Oscar Görres (The Weeknd, Marina, Tove Lo) helmed and co-wrote the track with Sivan himself. Sivan recorded five of the EP's six songs with Görres between Stockholm and Los Angeles just prior to the COVID-19 lockdown.
