Lil Durk previously linked up with Polo G on his Family Over Everything track "Career Day" and his Just Cause Y'all Waited 2 cut "3 Headed Goat" with Atlanta rapper Lil Baby. Both rappers also featured together on Lil Tecca's "When You Down" in September 2020. The song marks the first formal collaboration between Lil Durk and The Kid Laroi. Both Polo G and The Kid Laroi were featured artists on Juice WRLD's 2020 posthumous single "Hate The Other Side."
