Following his success in topping the UK Christmas charts in 2018 and 2019, YouTuber/dad blogger and sausage roll obsessive LadBaby went for the hat trick with this song. All three singles are parodies of '80s hits. "We Built This City… On Sausage Rolls" is Ladbaby's take of Starship's "We Built This City"; "I Love Sausage Rolls" is his version of Joan Jett's "I Love Rock And Roll"; and "Don't Stop Me Eatin" is his comedic cover of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'."
As with "We Built This City" and "I Love Sausage Rolls," all profits from "Don't Stop Me Eatin" are being donated to The Trussell Trust, who support a network of food banks across the UK.
Asked by the BBC why he chose "Don't Stop Believin'" for his 2020 festive cover version, LadBaby explained they'd "run out of songs with rock 'n' roll in the title. That had been their go-to as "rock 'n' roll" easily changes to sausage roll. They decided to look for a song that people can enjoy singing along to, so they went for one that features highly on most karaoke lists. "We felt like after the year everyone's had, it's a sentiment everyone needs - don't stop believing things are going to get better," Ladbaby explained. "It felt very fitting, so we had to weave some sausage roll magic into the lyrics."
