The band samples the opening of Guns N' Roses "Sweet Child O' Mine" at the end of the song. GNR was most likely sampled because of their popularity, not for respect for the band. Anthony Kiedis mentions in his autobiography Scar Tissue not liking drummer Chad Smith by first sight, because of his Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue look.
