Darkside

"Darkside" was the band's second single (the first was "Toxic"), and it wasn't very popular. They weren't very well known until they released "Butterfly," which flew to #1 in March 2001, well over a year after their debut album, The Gift Of Game, was released in 1999.

Band members Seth Binzer (Shifty Shellshock) and Bret "Epic" Mazur wrote this song. Troy Van Leeuwen plays additional guitars on the track.

Shifty Shellshock and Epic Mazur trade lines in this song, where they bat around all the nefarious thoughts that live in their heads. The delivery is in the style of Beastie Boys, where each rapper comes in with short bursts of lively images. This was Crazy Town's style, although they're much better known for the atypical "Butterfly."
