This is a track from American Country music artist Lee Brice's debut studio album, Love Like Crazy. He co-wrote the cut with Rob Hatch and Lance Miller.
Brice explained to The Frederick News-Post that this song is based on the true story of "an old redneck buddy" who attended a wedding on the beach. He told Brice that "the beach is beautiful every time I see it." The Nashville artist went on to note that the song talks about other simple things that are beautiful whether it's the first time you see them or after a lifetime of seeing them. "Those simple things are some of the most beautiful," he said.
Brice told The Boot that after his songwriting buddy Rob Hatch returned to his hometown in Florida for a wedding, he realized just how much he had missed the beaches and the sand dunes. This gave Hatch the idea for this cut. "It's such a true song. We put his story in the song just like he told me, and then we took it to other places in the second verse. It really is a universal song."
