Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Wee Wee Hours. By Songfacts®.

This Chuck Berry composition was the B-side of "Maybellene," which was released on the Chess label, May 21, 1955. A personal favorite of Berry, it is just possible it may have been inspired by a song released shortly before it. "In The Wee Small Hours Of The Morning" was recorded by Frank Sinatra; Berry said his two favorite all-time singers were Sinatra and Nat King Cole. Although the Berry composition is in blues format, the two songs are not dissimilar in either tempo or content.
