On this tirade against the paparazzi, Britney expresses her frustration about the flashbulbs ("the lights"), that follow her everywhere. This song lyrically follows the same theme as Britney's 2007 hit single, "Piece Of Me," which also documented the singer's relationship with the paps.

This song reunites Spears with producer Nate "Danja" Hills, who featured prominently on the singer's 2007 album Blackout including her hit single "Gimme More."
