This steamy love song leaves little to the imagination as Luke Combs details his romantic intentions for his girl. After a busy time of work, he tells her to cancel their plans in favor of a passionate evening of lovemaking.
Luke Combs wrote "The Kind of Love We Make" in Montana with his guitar tech Jamie Davis and the Brothers Hunt (Dan and Reid Isbell). Davis used to be in a band with Dan Isbell. "Jamie had the idea, and Dan and Reid brought it to me and I thought it was a killer melody," said Combs. "It ended up being one of those songs that wrote itself. Dan, Reid and I are all having kids within a month of each other, so maybe this song had something to do with that."
Nashville songwriter Dan Isbell has helped Combs pen several of his songs, including "1, 2 Many," "Without You," and "Better Together." For his brother Reid, this is his first Combs writing collaboration, though he appeared in the video for Jameson Rodgers and Combs' "Cold Beer Calling My Name." Jamie Davis previously contributed to the writing of the What You See Ain't Always What You Get deluxe edition track "My Kinda Folk."
