In My Defence - 2000 Remix

This was one of Freddie Mercury's more popular singles. It is famous for the lyrics, "I'm just a singer with a song," which became one of the lines Brian May used when speaking of Freddie, calling him the "Lover of Life, Singer of Songs."

Mercury originally recorded this for the soundtrack of the 1986 musical Time. The song was written the show's writers Dave Clark, David Soames and Jeff Daniels. In 1992, a remix by Ron Nevison was released as a single after Mercury's death.
