Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Dandelion Wine. By Songfacts®.

The final track on the 2003 Ghost of a Rose album wherein it runs to around 5 minutes 41 seconds, "Dandelion Wine" is actually an adaptation of the traditional Occitan language song "Maire, Lei Campagno" with music by Ritchie and new lyrics by Candice. Live, Candice sings the original first verse in both Occitan and then English followed by the new words. Thematic of many Candice Night songs, it is concerned with the passing of time, and is performed at or towards the end of concerts as a farewell to the audience.
