Ariana Grande tries to mend her broken heart in this song, the last track from her debut album, Yours Truly. She co-wrote the part-ballad, part-dance number with a team of writers, including Harmony Samuels (who also co-wrote and produced the singer's debut single, "The Way"), Courtney Harrell, Al Sherrod Lambert, Moses Ayo Samuels and Olaniyi Michael Akinkunmi.
This was originally going to be called "Tipsy." The line "Don't play me, just kiss me" was originally "Don't blame me, I'm tipsy."
