"Jealous Type" is a synth-pop track where Doja Cat confesses to being jealous of her romantic interest. The guy is vain and impatient, and he loves to bask in the attention he gets from other women.

She told Apple Music that jealousy was often her instinctive reaction, but writing songs like "Jealous Type" allowed her to turn those raw feelings into something useful; music that doubles as self-exploration.
