Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Going Nowhere. By Songfacts®.

This is an early Oasis song that can be found on the B-sides album The Masterplan. It is about how during the early stages of the band, they felt they were going nowhere.

The line "I'm gonna buy me a motor car, maybe a jaguar, maybe a plane or a day of fame," describes what Noel Gallagher had his eyes set on before they hit it big.

This features Mike Rowe on keyboards. The strings and horns were arranged by Nick Ingman and Noel Gallagher. Ingman is an orchestra conductor and composer whose work can be heard in the movies Billy Elliot and Shakespeare in Love. He also produced the Olivia Newton-John song "Long Live Love" and conducted the orchestra when she performed it at the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest.
