The Virgins are not afraid of tweaking their songs to make them more radio friendly. Frontman Donald Cumming revealed to The New Musical Express January 10, 2009 that when he wrote the melody for this song, he asked bassist Nick Zarin-Ackerman: "How can we make this sound like Gloria Estefan?"
