This song starts off with Drake discussing his recording history. Future then takes over crooning the hook and rapping the second verse in which he brags of people's expectations of him winning a Grammy. Despite his commercial and critical success, at the time of the recording, Future had yet to win a Grammy. Drake, on the other hand had a number of Grammy nods, winning Best Rap Album in 2013 for Take Care.
Drake and Future first paired up on the latter's Dirty Sprite 2 cut "Where Ya At." That track's success left fans itching for more. The duo obliged with their 2015 collaborative mixtape What A Time To Be Alive.
The song was produced by frequent Future collaborator Southside. The Atlanta beatmaker helmed three of the What a Time to Be Alive tracks: "Digital Dash," "I'm a Plug" and "Jersey."
