Beach House recorded Depression Cherry in early 2015 at the Studio in the Country in Bogalusa, Louisiana, where a variety of famous names from Louis Prima and Perry Como to Marilyn Manson have laid down tracks . For its closing song, "Days of Candy," they hired eight singers from the local Pearl River Community College to create a choir that contributes a 24-part harmony.
