Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Ten Thousand Fists. By Songfacts®.

This song talks about people standing up for what they believe in. At Disturbed's concerts, fans will raise their fists in the air when this plays. Lead singer David Draiman says the song "signifies strength, unity, conviction, power, and the exhilaration that you feel when you get to see that at one of our shows. It's one of my favorite moments, and people know that I have an affinity for asking people to put their fists in the air, and it's just, it's exhilaration to be able to see ten thousand raised fists or more."

This is the title track from Disturbed's third studio album. It was their second release to debut at #1 in the US.

This is the band's first album to feature John Moyer on bass guitar. Moyer, who replaced the group's original bassist, Steve Kmak, was only credited as a session musician but officially became a member of the band when they went on tour to support the album. Previously, he played in the Texas hard rock group The Union Underground.
