This introspective track finds the Oakland rapper reflecting on his mood swings as shifts between being regular guy Gerald Earl Gillum battling with his fears and emotions and the successful, untouchable rapper G-Eazy. "Sometimes, I'll feel like really down, really gloomy and there's a record like 'Sad Boy,'" he explained to Billboard magazine. "And sometimes I just feel like having fun, just making a record and talking s--t."

The video features illustrations by Joonbug and animation by Applebutter Animated. According to publicity materials, it presents fans with "G-Eazy's ideas and inner most thoughts... transformed into his own cartoon reality."
