In this song, which was written by Alan Jackson, a "country boy" offers a girl a lift in his pick up truck.

Jackson's concept for the song's promo was to ask his fans to send him video ideas of what it means to be a Country Boy (or girl). He then picked ten of his favorites to include in the promo along with his performance at a classic truck graveyard near Nashville.

This was Jackson's third consecutive Country #1, following "Small Time Southern Man" and "Good Time" and his 25th chart-topper in total on the Hot Country Songs chart.
