The album "...But Seriously" has a lot of serious, socially conscious songs. This one, however, is one of its lighter releases, a fun and energetic single. It seems to be saying that although a person is having tough times, they can get what they hope for if they hang in there and don't give up.
The music video, directed by Jim Yukich, was inspired by the 1912 Titanic disaster as Collins and his band perform on the similarly ill-fated S.S. Udio (in reference to the hit "Sussudio"). The clip uses footage from the 1958 film A Night to Remember that recounts the final night on the Titanic.
Collins handled drums and keyboards on this track, and the horns were handled by Earth, Wind & Fire's horn section, The Phenix Horns. Here are the other credits: Guitars: Daryl Stuermer, Dominic Miller Bass: Nathan East Backing Vocals: Alex Brown, Lynn Fiddmont, Marva King
